Video Tip: Executing the Proper “Twirl” on Your Golf Club

Picture this. You hit the best shot of your life and you don't know what to do. Scott Tanguay from the Coastal Golf Academy shows you exactly what to do!

Hey, folks, Scott Tanguay here at the Coastal Golf Academy at Whispering Pines Golf Course, just across the street from Myrtle Beach International Airport.

Today we’ve got a fun tip for you. But the caveat with this tip is, you don’t want to look funny; you have to make sure you hit a good shot before you try this. We’re learning how to twirl the golf club!

Again – make sure you hit a good shot. You don’t want to hit a bad one and then act like you’re good and start twirling it. So we come in, we hit that shot, and with that right index finger and right thumb you’re kind of spinning it away from you. See that spin? That’s what we’re looking for.

Whether you drop it all the way down, whether you throw the sword in there (Chi Chi Rodriguez-style), that’s up to you. But make sure you hit it good first!

So come in, stripe it, extend it, then twirl. That’s how we do it!
