SouthCreek at Myrtle Beach National Provides a 4-Star Experience

King’s North, deservedly, attracts much of the attention at Myrtle Beach National, but SouthCreek should merit careful consideration when you play your next round at one of Grand Strand’s most prominent facilities.

Golf Digest awarded SouthCreek 4 stars, and it’s not hard to see why. Like its sister courses, SouthCreek is impeccably maintained, highlighted by MiniVerde greens, and it’s as player-friendly a design as there is along the Grand Strand. The course has four sets of tees, including three between 5,710 and 6,416 yards.

The fairways are tight-ish, without being restrictive, and there are few forced carries on the approach, making the driver the most important club in the bag at the Arnold Palmer design.

Find the short grass and you will be positioned to post a good score on a course that finishes with a flourish. The final five holes are SouthCreek’s strongest, highlighted by the 324-yard 14th, a daring short par 4, and the par 4 18th and its mounded fairway.

Good conditions and a good time await at SouthCreek.
