The goal at International Club is simple: it expects to deliver the type of conditions and customer service players receive at premier courses, while providing a golfer-friendly price.
The course, celebrating its 15th birthday this year, is meeting its goal. International Club is in superior condition, featuring some of the Grand Strand’s fastest and truest greens, and its design offers great variety throughout.
No two holes are alike, but the sixth and 12th standout. A par 3, No. 6 requires a carry over water to a shallow green, and it is, without question, International’s toughest one-shotter.
The 12th is a short par 5, playing just 487 yards from the tips, so the rare opportunity for eagle could await, but danger lurks. Water off the tee, a bunker in the middle of the fairway, and environmentally sensitive areas can wreak havoc with your dreams of glory. It’s risk-reward golf at its finest.
If you are looking for a little less risk and a little more reward, the Murrells Inlet layout also has two top 100 teachers – Chuck Wike and Brad Redding – onsite.
International offers outstanding golf without the premium price tag.
