The Myrtle Beach Area Golf Course Owners Association (MBAGCOA), founded in 1978 as the Grand Strand Executive Golf Association (GSEGA), is a golf course owners organization composed of approximately 69 golf courses within a 50 mile radius of Myrtle Beach. The association’s primary focus is to develop/coordinate policies, projects, and programs thereby advancing operational initiatives and promoting the welfare of golf course owners/managers within the Myrtle Beach region.

While Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday (MBGH) focuses on marketing the area’s golfing mecca and the Grand Strand Tee Time Network (GSTTN) provides computerized methods of booking/managing tee times, the MBAGCOA seeks to standardize the operational aspects of the region’s golf tourism industry while improving the bottom line for owners.

In 1993, the MBAGCOA developed the Myrtle Beach Golf Passport program and on-going improvements continue to be made in order to provide residents and second homeowners an affordable golfing experience.
